FOOD SUPPORT

Sharing food parcels with dignity, care and compassion.

Groceries & Food Support Programme

(Ghana and the UK)

First Klass Foundation supports vulnerable individuals and families facing hunger and food insecurity in both Ghana and the UK through the sharing of groceries, food parcels, and basic welfare items. The programme responds to immediate hunger while also offering signposting, encouragement, and links to wider community support where needed.

The need is significant. In Ghana, the Ghana Statistical Service reported that 12.5 million people were food insecure in Q3 2025, representing 38.1% of the population. Food insecurity is also affected by rising food prices, climate-related production losses, and disrupted livelihoods. In the UK, Trussell reported that 14.1 million people experienced food insecurity in 2024, while the Food Foundation found that 15.3% of UK households with children experienced food insecurity in January 2026.

Through this programme, First Klass Foundation aims to provide timely and dignified support, including groceries, cooked-food support where appropriate, hygiene essentials, emergency food parcels, and community-based referrals. Our focus is on low-income families, homeless individuals, vulnerable young people, elderly people, and those experiencing temporary crisis.

Appeal for Support

We are seeking donations, food supplies, funding, and partnerships to help us reach more people in Ghana and the UK. Support may include grocery items, supermarket vouchers, hygiene packs, storage and distribution support, transport assistance, volunteer time, and financial donations.

Your support can help put food on a table, restore dignity, and bring hope to people facing hunger and hardship.
