Expanded Service Delivery Coverage
While the programme has a strong focus on vulnerable young people in Ghana, First Klass Foundation also extends its support to people experiencing homelessness in the UK. This includes practical welfare assistance, signposting, mentoring, and links to community-based support, helping individuals and young people facing housing insecurity to regain stability, dignity, and hope.

SHELTER SUPPORT

Helping families feel safe, settled and supported.

Shelter Support, Training & Career Pathways Programme.

First Klass Foundation supports orphans, homeless young people, and street-connected youth in Ghana by helping them move from vulnerability to safety, skills, and sustainable livelihoods. Our work focuses on shelter support, basic welfare, mentoring, training, apprenticeship links, and career development.

The need is urgent. UNICEF Ghana reports that about 17% of children in Ghana do not live with either biological parent, often leaving them without consistent family care, guidance, and support. Ghana’s Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection has also launched a 2024–2028 national strategy for street-connected children and young people, recognising the scale of the challenge. Recent labour data also shows that about 1.34 million young Ghanaians aged 15–24 were not in education, employment, or training, representing 21.5% of that age group.

Through this programme, we aim to provide vulnerable young people with practical support, dignity, and opportunity. We help facilitate access to safe shelter, food, clothing, hygiene items, educational materials, vocational training, mentoring, and career guidance. Where possible, we connect young people to apprenticeships, enterprise opportunities, and employment pathways.

Appeal for Support

We are seeking funding, donations, and partnerships to help more vulnerable young people in Ghana rebuild their lives. Support may include financial gifts, training tools, educational sponsorship, food and welfare items, apprenticeship placements, mentoring, or business start-up support.

Your support can help a young person move from survival to stability, from street life to skills, and from uncertainty to a meaningful future.
